eTa Blades is among the Top companies of the “Green Made in Italy” and has achieved the Sustainable Development Award, promoted by the Foundation for Sustainable Development and by Ecomondo.

Companies that have put environment as one of the essential levers to be competitive is growing and is becoming relevant and involves almost the half of all Italian companies.

Fater Smart, which recycles diapers and absorbents at the plant in the province of Treviso; Montello Spa for the first large Italian biomethane production plant for organic waste; Opera s.a.s. of Bittuleri Marco & C for the Bluehouse project that realizes custom-made eco-buildings.

These are the three companies that won the 2018 Sustainable Development Award, promoted by the Foundation for Sustainable Development and by Ecomondo and now in its tenth edition.

Alongside the companies that have risen to the top of the podium, another 27 (9 for each of the three sectors) were awarded as the best companies of the “Green Made in Italy”.

Among these eTa Blades, in “Energy from renewable sources” for our Re-blading project flanked by Biolectric Italia srl; enel Green Power SpA, EPTA S.p.A, greentronics SRL, Iren Group, Micro Jolly Cow plant, Water Resources S.p.A.- SMAT Group company, Terna Group.

The award comes with The Medal of the President of the Italian Republic. The ceremony took place in Rimini on November 8th at the Ecomondo Fair.

“This award – said Edo Ronchi, President of the Foundation for Sustainable Development – has now become an essential event to bring out the good practices and successful technologies of Italian companies in the green economy. Companies that show how it is possible to do business by focusing on social and environmental goals, using motivated and participatory work, contributing to producing wellbeing growth by protecting natural capital and ecosystem services ».

As every year, the award has been given to companies that have distinguished themselves for activities and plants that produce significant environmental benefits, have innovative content, positive economic and employment effects and have a potential for dissemination. The jury of the Prize was composed by: Edo Ronchi, Silvia Zamboni, Andrea Barbabella, Fabrizio Tucci, Alessandra Astolfi, who had to choose among over 100 projects presented by large and small companies from all over Italy.
